Phi @ Falmouth was formed in 1969 to design and manufacture a range of magnetic heads and over the years the company has developed products and solutions for a wide range of applications and industries, ranging from financial to military, defence and security, throughout the world. Their focus upon quality, innovation and reliability spurred the company to become one of the leading magnetic security device manufacturing and design facilities in Europe.

Using this experience and expertise, Phi also developed a turnkey electromechanical outsourcing service. They have completed projects, including high security ruggedised access control devices and secure cash handling units, for blue chip companies such as De La Rue, who specialise in bank note security. The company’s dedication to providing high quality products and services is reflected in its ISO9001:2008 accreditation.

Phi is part of Onyx Holdings Ltd, a group of companies that are highly specialist in the design and manufacture of a range of electronic components and assemblies for all industries but particularly for the defence and security sectors. Phi’s extensive experience and wide knowledge and understanding of these sectors, backed up by the additional technical support and resources of their sister companies, enables them to meet specific clients’ requirements and design and construct a SCIF to their specification.
